Abby Shemesh
Head of Acquisitions at Notecrest Capital and co-founder of Amerinote Xchange

Head of Acquisitions
Abby has spent the years since 2006 building the acquisitions infrastructure behind one of the most active platforms in the United States for buying seller-financed business notes and mortgage notes.
In the business note industry since 2006
Abby co-founded Amerinote Xchange in 2006. The firm is a family office focused on the secondary market for seller-financed business loans and mortgage notes. Under his direction, Amerinote Xchange has funded over $800 million in note acquisitions across more than 900 transactions, with active sourcing in every state. The quote-turnaround standards Abby designed personally have become a reference point for how serious buyers engage note holders in this market.
At Notecrest Capital, Abby applies that same acquisition infrastructure to a narrower, more institutional mandate: acquiring small business seller notes for a diversified, accredited-investor debt fund. He works alongside Travis Goad, CEO, who runs fund operations and capital markets. Together they built the underwriting framework that governs every Notecrest Capital transaction.
A recognized authority on seller-financed notes
Abby is widely cited as a leading voice in the seller-financed note space. He has been a frequent contributor to industry publications and business-finance outlets, writing and speaking on note pricing dynamics, secondary-market liquidity, due-diligence standards, and the structural shifts that affect every business note holder: SBA program changes, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act provisions reshaping seller-carry economics in small-business M&A, and the practical economics of running a national acquisitions desk.
His commentary and writing have appeared on Yahoo Finance, Scotsman Guide, StartupNation, Distressed Pro, BiggerPockets and The Chris Voss Show Podcast, among other outlets across business and finance media.
The seller’s side of Notecrest Capital
Abby owns the seller experience at Notecrest Capital: quote turnaround times, communication standards, and the pre-diligence review process that defines how the firm engages business owners holding notes. The fund’s acquisition discipline reflects the standards Abby has applied at Amerinote Xchange since 2006: institutional underwriting, fast turnarounds, and transparent communication from the first conversation through close.
